Onsite Shredding vs. Drop-Off at Box Store Sites

Our company provides immediate shredding as a no-risk, fast, efficient, confidential service. You can witness your documents being shredded on-site and we provide a ”Certificate of Destruction” for your audit purposes. For our regular customers, we provide  you with a locked container, conveniently placed in your office so that your documents are secure until we arrive to shred them.

The rate we charge is for on-site shredding. One of the benefits of on-site shredding is the immediate peace of mind that comes with knowing that your documents are shredded immediately and rendered illegible as they are mixed with all the paper in the truck and they cannot be pieced together. You also can witness the shredding through our 4 truck cameras and know that your documents are secure and there is no risk to your confidentiality.

If you go with “Drop off Shredding”

• You travel to them. 
• You handle your boxes to your vehicle and carry them inside.
• Create risk to confidentiality
• Where are they stored?
• How long till they get shredded?
• Where do they go and how are they transported for shredding?
• Once they reach the offsite shredding location, how long before they get shredded?
• Can you be sure your documents are actually shredded?
• Do they give you a Certificate of Destruction for proof?
• Your documents are vulnerable to other eyes as some off-site services hand-pick through shredding to separate coloured vs. white paper.
• The more people that handle your confidential documents, the greater the security risk.
  

The risk is that you don’t know what happens to them. Are they stored securely? Are they transported offsite with more handling and risk to confidentiality? What happens to your documents from the point you drop them off and are slated for actual destruction?
